PSHCEPersonal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education is very much alive at Merchant Taylors'. PSHCE is like no other subject: it is discursive, involves projects in school, outside speakers, lectures and workshops from a different angle to other parts of the school curriculum. Sometimes described as 'learning about life', it covers a range of topics, including relationships, mental health, healthy eating, politics, personal finance, the EU and the power of the media. It has many connections across the curriculum and in extra-curricular activities, including the Charity Drive and The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. PSHCE is an important and thriving part of the curriculum. Hilary English |
