FriendsIt is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I welcome you to these pages of the School’s web-site. “Friends” is an informal organisation comprised of parent groups with specialist cultural and sporting interests, actively supported by the Head Master, Penny Wright, the Senior Master, the Director of Sport and the Bursar. By putting on a number of social, sporting, music and drama events throughout the year, we raise money both for charity and for specific projects within the school. We are serious about what we do but we always have a lot of fun doing it. Please browse through the Friends pages to find what appeals to you: there will be something... really! Now, JUST DO IT! Please put your name down and come along to an event: you do not have to be a member to participate. It’s a great way to meet fellow parents and staff members who share your interests or those of your son. Should you have the time and inclination to serve on the committee of a support group, please contact the appropriate chairperson or let me know. Your enquiry will be most welcome. See you soon. Martin Pedler P.S. Should you wish to have a memento of your son's time at Merchant Taylors', we offer a choice of prints on cards from an original painting by local artist Mary Pelham. |
