Junior Maths

The adding up of numbers and the taking away of sweets…

Junior mathematicians meet fortnightly throughout the year. The society is open to boys in the 3rd and U3rd forms. Puzzles, logic games and mathematical tasks that require speed of thought rather than lots of knowledge are set, with prizes for the winners. Some older boys do attempt to sneak in, but often are sent packing by the skills of their younger colleagues! The society also helps out on open mornings, challenging prospective new boys at mental maths.
