Manor of the RoseThe Manor of the Rose takes its name from the original school buildings in Suffolk Lane in the City of London. When the school moved to its present site in 1933 our present boarding house was built to house those boys who would not be able to make the long journey from the East End of London to Sandy Lodge.
There is no longer any boarding at MTS as it ceased in 2000 but the Manor continues as a day boy house of which you will be a member. The house has a strong sporting tradition and a history unmatched by any other house in the school and of which you can be proud. We hold a house assembly every Wednesday to do ‘house business’ and day to day information is posted on the house notice board in the table tennis foyer. All boys should receive a letter of introduction from their House Tutor during the summer holidays before their entry to MTS. Your tutor will tell you when they are available and where they can be found during the week. You will also have a weekly meeting with your tutor on a Thursday morning. We look forward to welcoming you into the School and the Manor in September and hope that your time here will be very successful.
