Welcome to Yardarms

The Yardarms allows the parents to support the watersports at Merchant Taylors', and to get to know one another.  By raising funds for equipment and organising activities outside the school which give further training opportunities to the boys, we hope to build up the capability of the school and give the boys a great experience of water sports at MT's.  
Examples of the support given include:
• organising training at HOAC (Harefield) to get boys started on their training before they are at the stage of being able to choose the water sports option
• buying new windsurfers, boat covers, canoes
• organising offshore training for some, and giving a bursary to help those who did sailing for the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.
 
We also organise a parents v boys race in the summer!
 
Our main events are the Burns Night supper (February) and the Barbecue by the Lake in the summer - both were sold out last year.

Burns Night Supper
Saturday 6th February - 7 until midnight

Merchant Taylors’ Sailing Support Group invite you to their renowned Burns Night Supper.The night includes mulled wine reception, traditional Scottish supper,
whiskey toast, piper, band and Scottish dancing, cash bar and raffle!
