Cross-countryCross-country running is offered as a Games Option to boys in the Divisions and above who are keen to build up their fitness and to develop an interest in running. A small group of boys of varying ability run routes through the delightful countryside that is within a short distance from the School’s gates. Although we don’t run a representative team there are a few events that are highlights of the year. These include the 15 mile Chipperfield Sponsored run, the House championships and the Merchant Taylors’ Cup match. The aim of the games afternoon is to challenge everybody of whatever level into improving their cardio-vascular fitness and physical (and mental) endurance. D A Lawrence
