Stamp Club

Stamp Club is one of the oldest clubs run at the school and is open to all pupils (and staff!). We are very proud that our Stamp Club is one of the largest in any British school, with over fifty members.

We meet every Wednesday at 1:40 in Classics 2, and offer our members a chance to buy, sell or trade stamps with the vast collection owned by the school. One of our main aims is to try and teach pupils that stamps are not just little pieces of paper with which their grandparents use to send letters, but that each stamp has a history or meaning behind it.

With such great advances in communication technology and the popularisation of emails, stamps are becoming rarer and indeed more valuable, and in turn stamp collecting can offer both satisfaction … and financial benefits!
