30 ROUNDS

Explain To Me The SharePoint System. The SNCO team, in conjunction with the visual media and publications teams, is gradually phasing out all paper-based operations in the CCF. This will allow for greater administrative agility, and already improves the running of the CCF. As part of this initiative, a central online platform, SharePoint, has been introduced. SharePoint provides a versatile and centralized platform which facilitates the easy running of the day-to day CCF sessions. It is a repository for lesson manuals, drill tips and media. The media section has a comprehensive overview of the key events of the last three years of the CCF at MTS, in high quality and broad coverage provided by our student led media team. What does a typical event involve for the Media Team? We are briefed on the type of event, and from there decide what sort of coverage we will be aiming to create. For Adventurous Training we are able to utilize the CCF action cameras and drones to catch the action. Other more formal events such as ANZAC day involve us creating more traditional media- covering the parade, services and more. After the event we sort through all of the footage photos and interviews and from there create our media content. What Can Cadets Gain From SharePoint? SharePoint is a valuable resource for new cadets, giving instruction on all aspects of life in the cadets, such as weapons handling, section attacks, movement in the field, knots and other such vital skills. Weekly orders are also published on the platform, meaning they can be easily edited by SNCO's, and accessed by cadets from most locations. For these reasons it is vital that every CCF cadet have access to it.
