It was to be the sort of fight that would characterise the U15Cs’ dominant season, which culminated in a total goal count of 33 and a 100% winning run. Every player would continue to give their all in every match, and their progress would be extraordinary, with many players moving up to play for the B squad during the season. The athleticism and accuracy of ball play was exceptional and proved the undoing of the UCS A team at the end of the season; despite the C team losing last year 5-0, this year MTS won a hard-earned victory, with players literally throwing themselves across the pitch to ensure a 2-0 win in the second half. The support of the boys for one another resulted in some exceptional tactical team play that had opponents struggling to keep up with the incredible pace of MTS, including a 3-1 win over Reeds, an 11-0 win over Felsted, and a 10-1 victory against Magdalen. Angus Whiteside cemented his role early on as key striker with an eye for the goal, with Krish Kothari and Rayen Gandhi hot on his heels for top goal scorer. Samuel O’Tuminu showed pace like no other, as Bardia Baniamer, Daniel Steven-Jennings, Rahul Patel, Zaki Akbar and Om Chavda frequently held up the back line. Gautham Anpalagan allowed in only four goals in the whole season, and Gursimar Puri often surpassed the estimation of his opponents in the middle of the pitch. Player of the Season has to go to Puneet Patel as captain. He led by example, keeping a cool head in matches, communicating with the whole team, and running to the point of complete exhaustion. An excellent performance was given by all who played for the U15Cs this year; it really was a season like no other. Miss H M Park Squad: G. Anpalagan, K. Kothari, Z. Akbar, D. O’Shea, B. U15D A lack of fixtures due to our regular opponents being unable to field teams meant that this was at times a frustrating season for the U15Ds, and an early fixture against Eton in wretched weather conditions proved to be the team’s sole competitive match. It was a high-tempo game, and after taking the lead through the goal-poaching expertise of Angus Whiteside, the defence held firm in holding off Eton for the remainder of the game. As a result of this fixture a number of the players went up to the U15Cs where they continued to impress. Although the lack of fixtures did occasionally lead to a loss of focus in training, on the whole standards were maintained throughout, and when they had the opportunity to play
