93 not so lucky, and quickly fell upon their sticks, handing a strong-hearted victory to us; The Perse School remained the middle battle ground, with neither our young sons nor theirs pulling ahead; Felsted, a worthy opponent, fell quickly away and Magdalen finally crumbled to our glorious triumph. Now, satisfied, yet tired from their work, the young team relax and rightfully revel in their glory. Miss M J Fitzpatrick Squad:T.Wong, J.Hazan,E.Idayefugbara, K. R. Thakrar, S. Patel, H. U14D The U14D team played two matches this season, one against Eton College and one against Magdalen College School. The first of these matches was a 1-0 loss but it showed that the team had a great deal of promise, with outstanding performances from captain Josh Hazan, excellent stickwork from James Kay, who was awarded Man of the Match, and ferocious defending from Han Se Kendall, who was subsequently promoted to the U14C team. The team trained hard in between the two matches to secure a win against Magdalen College School. The second match was hard fought, with the team showing a great deal of grit and determination in order to secure the win. Both goals came from Aadil Bhudia, but Man of the Match was awarded to Sid Tiwari, who not only stepped up to play in goal but also made some breath-taking saves. Congratulations to all the players on a successful season. Dr M Lomas Squad: A. Joshi, V. Shah, S. Tiwari, A. Bhudia, A. Khawaja, J. Kay (Vice-Capt), K. Patel, A. Pandit, D. Self, M. Domb, S. U13A An eleven-game season saw vast improvement from the 13As, with Anthony Poole standing out for his tireless work in midfield and goalkeeper Tommy Embleton battling heroically to keep Taylors’ in multiple games. With twenty-eight goals scored by ten different players and over sixteen boys representing the side, it was grit and determination that saw us get over the line to secure four victories. Standout results include a 3 - 2 victory over Dr Challoner’s, where defensive stalwart Marcello Caronti scored his first A team goal, and the 7 - 1 dispatch of Hitchin, where the hallowed leadership of George Killigrew was rewarded with a superb hat-trick. All games were played with tremendous fight and good humour, ensuring the whole squad had the most enjoyable season. Mr M Flower Squad: U. Baig, J. Beeby, A, Bhandarkar, M. Caronti, T. Embleton, M. U13B With nineteen boys representing the U13B team it was a dynamic year for this group. Sixteen of the boys listed below played for the U13A team during the season, showing just how strong this U13B team was. Massive improvements were made this year with their hockey, and some unbelievable wins over Sir William Borlase, Kingston, and Dr Challoner’s show the level this team was able to achieve. Mateo Frankic- Ruppen was outstanding all year in goal, and with the dynamic Marcello Caronti playing freely out of the back this team was extremely attacking. Casper Schraut was controlled in midfield and laid the platform to spring players such as Shaikh, White, and Ives. Upfront Thomas, Bhandarkar, Gola, and Shah were at hand to finish off some great moves as the majority of the 31 goals scored came from sublime match play involving multiple players. A great season showing exceptional promise for the future. Played 11, Won 8, Lost 3. Mr R I M Alexander Squad: J. Ives, F. Koorland, C. Schraut, O. Shaikh, M. Frankic-Ruppen, O. Thomas, A. White, L. U13C Barring one astonishing 20-minute period of madness against Reed’s in which nine goals were conceded, this year’s U13C were a scrappy bunch of fighters. While the chaps tasted defeat a few times, they were never outclassed and with a strong defensive spine, starting with Ollie Costigan in goal, were generally hard to beat. We certainly did not lack ‘engines’: it’s rare to see as combative a set of players. Jacob Rose, Rufus Naismith and Kobi Weiler, when he played for us, led in this
