More Young Enterprise Success!

Following the success of Team 'Lifetime' last year who made it through to the National Final, our Lower Sixth boys this year attended the Area Showcase round one with the aim of making it to the National Final and Best Company of the Year 2021. Out of thirteen schools in the area, Merchant Taylors' Young Enterprise companies competed and were successfully recognised in the ceremony, with Team 'New Normal UK' making it through to the next round, the Regional Finals. Team 'Simplit' crafted a product called the hook key which allows people to open doors and touch surfaces without coming into contact with contaminated surfaces, winning the Innovation Award.

All Teams were successful last night, taking home various accolades:
• New Normal UK won the Best Company Runner Up – and so going through to the next round, together with the Best Company from RMS
• New Normal UK won the award for Best Presentation.
• Simplit won the Innovation Award • T

The following boys were nominated and awarded for their Outstanding Contribution: Thomas Lemon, Kishan Popat and Dhruv Kotecha.

One of the judges commented ‘We are confident that our future is in good hands’.

We would like to thank our three Business Advisors - who are parent volunteers for all their hard work week after week since September in mentoring the teams. Scentify: Stacey Lewis (former parent) Simplit: Sanjana Tiwari (current parent) New Normal UK: Georgiana Lisk (current parent)
