Writes Amanda South, Senior Librarian
Over the holidays, pupils of all ages took up the challenge of creating something based on a book they had read for our annual library competition, Inspired by Books. Pupils joining us this September were also invited to take part and over half the entries came from our new boys.
Musical compositions, models made from wood, Lego, clay and papier-mâché, colourful art and detailed line-drawing, and skilfully edited films and animations were all very much enjoyed by the librarians. A special thank you must be extended to Miss Martin, who helped judge the Music prize.
The winners were presented with their certificates and vouchers in House Assembly. Congratulations to Raphael House who had a clean sweep in the Creative Writing category, Walter House who took both Film and Animation awards, and two brothers in Manor House who shared the Artwork accolades between them.
