Writes Amos G. (L6th)
On Sunday 1st March, the PHAB team rose to the challenge of running their annual Berkhamsted half-marathon, organised by Mrs Smith, to raise money in support of PHAB week. The team enthusiastically trained for two months to get ‘race ready’, overseen by Mr Prashar and Mrs Hale. However, the route laid out a demanding series of hills, challenging not only physical endurance but mental resilience too, and the wet and cold conditions on the day made it even more unfavourable.
The event was attended by nearly 2,000 runners, which lifted the atmosphere. I’m pleased to say that all the boys and teachers managed to cross the finish line within good time.
The event has now become a core fundraiser in the PHAB calendar and a huge congratulations goes out to all who completed it.
You can still donate to the cause via the link below! All money raised goes in to PHAB Week and the PHAB Charity.
