Designed to build confidence, foster friendships, and support personal growth, the week is filled with exciting activities, from horse riding and swimming to arts and crafts, animal encounters, and more.
The venue is fully equipped with adaptive equipment and accessible accommodation, ensuring every participant can take part fully. In this uplifting environment, barriers are broken down, and a genuine sense of belonging flourishes. Each year, young people from across the country come together to try new things, develop new skills, and enjoy an unforgettable experience.
"I think this is a wonderful scheme which more schools should emulate. It gives these young people such a good appreciation of disability and carers at the start of their careers and will help them to make more informed decisions."
Participants are supported by a dedicated staff team, medical professionals, and a group of twenty enthusiastic Sixth Form students. These hosts receive specialist training in safeguarding, first aid, and medical support, ensuring every guest feels safe, cared for, and celebrated. The strong sense of community that forms during Phab Week leads to meaningful connections that often last long after the week is over.
"Taking part was one of the best weeks of his life by far, adding that all the boys were pushed in ways that changed them and made them appreciate everything in life, and all of those around them."
