A new name will be engraved on the Library House Quiz trophy this year. Spenser House maintained their early lead to win this annual quiz as part of our reading week celebrations.
Pupils had a chance to show off their literary knowledge, with questions on a wide range of topics including Paddington, The Jabberwocky, Philip Pullman and the current Children’s Laureate, Frank Cottrell-Boyce. This year’s school musical appears to have stayed in the mind as all 8 teams correctly remembered that West Side Story was based on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. However, all underestimated how many periodicals the school library lists on its catalogue – perhaps they might be encouraged to try out some of our 64 titles following this event!
