Suturing Returns to Medicine and Dentistry Society

Writes Veer S. (L6th)

On Monday, things got very hands-on in Medicine and Dentistry society as members learned how to suture! After being introduced to the equipment and techniques used by medical and dental professionals, students had the chance to try suturing for themselves, with plenty of guidance along the way. There was a great atmosphere throughout the session, with lots of concentration, laughter, and a few very intense stitches!

The session was both fun and informative, giving everyone a real taste of clinical skills and what life in healthcare could be like and while helping students appreciate the precision and care involved in suturing.

Warning: next week’s session involves sutures, bananas, and questionable fruit survival rates.
