Another First for the U18 Basketball Team

Writes Johnny Oey, Teacher of Economics

After securing our first win of the season, we were eager to continue our strong home form as we welcomed Forest School for our fourth game last Wednesday. Still remembering our heaviest defeat to Forest School last season, we hoped for a much closer contest this time and aimed to gain the upper hand.

We started brightly, with Andrew E. (U6th) and Ben P. (U6th) leading the charge and helping us build a comfortable 26–12 lead after the first quarter. The second and third quarters proved to be more tightly contested, but we again took control in the final quarter, finishing the game with a 70–51 victory – our first ever win against Forest School.

Ben P. (U6th) continued to impress with 21 points, while Andrew E. (U6th) contributed 19 points. Other standout performances came from Zakariya K. (U6th) and Mateo R-A (U6th), who scored 14 and 11 points respectively. It was a tremendous team effort, and we hope to carry this momentum into our next fixture, an away game against Harrow School on 25 November. Congratulations also to Benedict K. (U6th) on making his debut.
