Merchant Taylors’ School proudly hosted the annual Strikers Cup, bringing together an exciting day of hockey across three age groups, U10, U11, and U13, and played across all three of our pitches. The event welcomed teams from Merchant Taylors’ School, Merchant Taylors’ Prep, St John’s, The Beacon, York House, and St Martin’s, with over 150 pupils taking part.
The atmosphere throughout the day was exceptional. Players, staff, and supporters created a brilliant, friendly environment that showcased not just competitive spirit but also the camaraderie and sportsmanship that make school sport so special. The tournament served as a fantastic celebration of hockey and the hard work that all students have put into their development over the course of the term.
The standard of play across all age groups was impressively high, with each match demonstrating skill, teamwork, and determination. After a series of exciting fixtures, we are pleased to congratulate the following Strikers Cup champions:
- U10 Winners: The Beacon School
- U11 Winners: York House School
- U13 Winners: Merchant Taylors’ Prep
A huge well done to all players who took part, and sincere thanks to the coaches, teachers, and support staff whose efforts made the day such a success. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the next edition of the Strikers Cup.
