Taylors' Actor Wins Place in National Youth Theatre

Writes Cheryl Clarke, Director of Drama

We are delighted for George R. (Fifths) who has won a place in the prestigious National Youth Theatre. Every year, thousands of young people across the country apply. At school this year, George shared the lead role of Christopher in the Senior Joint Production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, giving an exceptional performance. George has also taken on supporting roles at school and really enjoyed being part of the ensemble in West Side Story.

A keen GCSE Drama student, his most recent performance was Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. His achievement follows six successive years of Taylors’ Drama pupils gaining places in the National Youth Theatre and each year, those who have been successful run a session with younger pupils. We wish George every success with the summer season; what a fantastic achievement.
