1st XI Cricketers Try Their Hands at Something New

Writes Kian J. (5ths)

This half-term, the senior cricket squad have stepped outside of the nets and into a variety of dynamic, team-building activities designed to sharpen our skills and strengthen camaraderie.

Every Monday, we have been visiting Watford Gymnastics Club and making full use of their outstanding facilities. Under the expert guidance of coach Graham, we have learnt and developed techniques for rolling, diving, and landing safely – skills that are crucial on the field. These sessions have also helped us build the confidence to commit fully when going to ground.

On Wednesdays, we have been participating in a wide range of activities that continue to develop aspects of our cricket. This includes a yoga session run by Miss Maxfield, and competitive games of football and padel. All of these have developed our physical conditioning as well as our team spirit.

These sessions have developed different areas of our game outside of the cricket nets, helping us grow and develop both individually and as a team.
