Yesterday’s U15 tennis fixture saw the MTS team travel away to Alexandra Park School in Haringey, delivering a series of competitive and impressive performances. The team, consisting of Ayngaran M. (4th) (Team Captain), Marc P. (4th), Rian V.(4th), and Jai H. (Div), demonstrated determination and resilience throughout.
In the singles matches, there were several closely contested encounters. Rian V. (4th) produced an excellent performance to secure a 7–5 victory against a strong county-level opponent, while Marc P. (4th) showed composure to claim a solid 6–4 win. Jai H. (Divs) was narrowly defeated 6–4 in a competitive match. Ayngaran M. (4th) faced a particularly challenging opponent, one of the highest-rated U16 players in the country, and despite a determined effort, was defeated 6–0.
In the doubles matches, the team showed strong cohesion and teamwork. Rian V.(4th) and Marc P. (4th), combined effectively to secure a convincing 6–1 victory. Ayngaran M. (4th) and Jai H. (Divs) were involved in a tightly fought contest, ultimately winning a dramatic tiebreak 7–6 (4), demonstrating great composure under pressure.
Overall, the team displayed excellent effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship against high-quality opposition.
The fixture provided valuable experience, and the players represented the school with pride. A well done to all involved.
