Remembrance Day 2024

On Monday, the School observed Remembrance Day in a variety of ways. The Chaplain lead a whole school assembly in the Great Hall, which included readings and an anthem by the chamber choir.

In the Exam Hall, Dr Hesketh and Mr Hale addressed the Thirds and Upper Thirds with musical accompaniment provided by the pupils. In both of these, a focus was on the centenary of the death of the last OMT to give their life in the Great War, Douglas Morton, who died in 1924 from wounds sustained on the front line.

At 11am, the whole School observed a two-minute silence across the site, with Benedict K providing a most poignant rendition of the Last Post from the balcony of the Inner Quad.
