Writes Ruby Millard, Assistant Librarian
At the end of last term, The Library and Art Café launched a bookmark competition in celebration of 2026 being the National Year of Reading. Inspired by books they love, students submitted a fantastic range of creative designs, making the judging process a real challenge.
We are delighted to announce the winner is Yishen L. (4ths) and runners-up are Leo M. (4ths) and Aayush S. (U3rds). Kaizad S. (U3rds), Oliver L. (Divs) and Arjun P. (U3rds) are also highly commended.
The designs have been professionally printed and are being distributed to new students as a special welcome gift. Congratulations to all our talented winners and thank you to everyone who took part.
The bookmarks will be available for all students from the Library in the coming weeks.
Thoughts from our students:
“You don’t need every pen and pencil in the world, just as much creativity as your mind can muster.” Yishen L. (4ths)
“It was a great opportunity to delve into my imagination and to practice my art.” Leo M. (4ths)
