On Thursday, the MSL team took on their first of two coaching training evenings. This was led by our experienced inhouse Coach, Mr Pacey.
During this session, our MSLs learned about what coaching is, how to use it and exposed themselves to some personal deep reflections. The aim is to provide our Team with a useful tool to practice with their friends and family and help support others at school in the Middle School and beyond.
The second session will be in January. Our MSL team will now practice in trios using the effective questioning discussed in this first session, taking away new understanding of coaching.
This week The Middle School Leaders also presented an assembly to their own year group during our Fifths assembly. The boys presented well, having had practice with the Divisions assembly more recently. Their message was to share the common goal of working hard and looking out for each other as a community. They briefly touched upon revision techniques and the need to be organised and start their revision shortly in order to not feel overwhelmed over the December break. Our MSLs showed organisation and good team work. Importantly, they are helping to foster a sense of community.
