Writes Philip Davies, Director of Cricket
Merchant Taylors’ has always been a consistent home for many of the county’s top cricketers and this year is no different, celebrating over 50 boys across the school making it into various winter county pathways programme.
This year sees Adam K., Rishane W. and Rishi M. (all Divs) join the Middlesex academy – the highest standard of country training available to them. They join last year’s 1st XI captain Pansilu W. in the academy that has had many Taylors’ boys go through it in recent years.
Peter N. (U6), who a few years ago was playing in the European Cricket League for Serbia, has this winter been rewarded for a summer of hard work with a place in the Hampshire academy.
We would like to congratulate all the boys that have made it into county pathways this winter and hope that the top-class programme here at Taylors’, alongside their county work, can help players to achieve their ultimate dreams in cricket!
