The Merchant Taylors’ U16 boys’ team enjoyed a fantastic start to their LTA Y9/10 competition with an impressive victory against Mill Hill on 23 April. The team Ayngaran M. (4ths), Jai H. (Divs), Rian V. (4ths) and Darsh S. (Divs) played the first of five matches in the opening round robin stage, getting their campaign off to an excellent start.
Both singles and doubles matches were won confidently and efficiently, with convincing scorelines of 6-0, 6-2, 6-0, 7-5, 6-1 and 6-4, demonstrating the team’s dominance throughout the fixture.
Our substitute player, Enkai S. (5ths), also shone, winning a friendly singles match in a closely contested 7-6 tie break. Congratulations to all our brilliant players on a superb performance and a very promising start to the competition.
