Writes David Fayer, Catering Manager
Over the half-term, Merchant Taylors’ School completed a significant upgrade to its food service area, bringing a fresh new look and improved functionality to the most used space on site.
The refurbishment included the installation of brand-new hot and cold service counters, updated flooring, and a completely redesigned layout. The changes were carefully planned to create a smoother flow for both pupils and staff, allowing everyone to move through the space more easily and efficiently.
The number of service counters has been maximised, reducing waiting times and making lunch more accessible for all. The relocation of the salad bar has also freed up valuable space, while the removal of hot food transfers between queues has improved safety – minimising the risk of slips and trips.
