Yes Please! Let's Play House Board Games!

On Monday, sixty four boys participated in the inaugural house board game competition.

Mr Fothergill, Head of Manor House, masterminded the new event and chose “No Thanks!” as the game that each house would have learn. “No Thanks!” is quick to learn yet difficult to master, combining simple rules with engaging decision making and aggressive player interaction. Over the previous weeks, boys from every year group have been practising the game in their tutor groups and honing strategies in the hopes of achieving victory for their house.

With sixteen simultaneous games occurring, the event filled the Chaplaincy to the brim and was very well received by spectators and players alike. After two tense rounds, Manor and Mulcaster took joint first place. As a result, Mulcaster storms to the top of the house points table, dethroning White House.

We look forward to the house board game competition returning with a new game next year.
