House Rubik's Cube

As a well-established event of the school calendar, House Rubik's cube is always a very busy event. It takes place on two days over the course of a week. Firstly, on Tuesday there is a Participation event, where many boys from each House come and solve a Rubik's cube in the quickest possible time (10 seconds being the record).

House Rubik's cube takes place on two days over the course of a week. Firstly, on Tuesday there is a Participation event, where many boys from each House come and solve a Rubik's cube, and within that there is another competition to see who can set the fastest time (which was won by Zach F of Manor, who solved the cube in less than 10 seconds).
On Thursday (later on in the week), the top three fastest cubers from each House come and participate in a relay, to see which House can solve three cubes the fastest. The relay was a really tight fight for first place as the difference between first and second place in the relay was a mere half second, with the Andrewes team winning!
Overall, the winner of this year's House Rubik's Cube was Spenser House, who managed to get the most people in the participation round, had the second fastest cube solve in the participation round and came second in the relay, leading to them getting the most points overall and snatching this year's House Rubik's Cube title.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I hope to see even more people at next year's House Rubik's cube!
