4th Former in String Masterclass
MTS pupil works with world famous violinist
Fourth Former Kian Conti had the privilege of being invited to participate in a string masterclass with multi-award winning international solo concert violinist Tasmin Little on Wednesday the 21st of June 2023. For students who are passionate about music, and, in particular, those who wish to pursue a performing career, the opportunity to benefit from Tasmin’s experience and expertise was not to be missed. Representing MTS amongst the finest string players from schools across the local area, Kian’s virtuosic performance of the Gigue from Bach’s Partita No. 2 was simply stunning. Since retiring from the concert platform, Tasmin has devoted a significant portion of her time to education work, and she was clearly highly impressed with the polish, expressiveness, and musicality in Kian’s performance. I was fortunate to be in the audience for the masterclass, and congratulations must go to Kian who excelled. Thanks must go to the event organiser, Mrs Diana Smith, who until recently taught the cello at MTP, and to RMS for hosting the event.
