RS

  • In Years 7 & 8 boys are introduced to the key stories which lie behind the major world faiths with a focus on their cultural significance.
  • In Year 9 there is a Philosophy course which looks at two major questions: is there good reason to believe in God and how does one live an ethical life?
  • GCSE and A Level allows for an in-depth study of both religion and philosophical and ethical ideas. Boys can now study Philosophy at A Level as well as RS.
  • This year the department hosted a major philosophical conference involving over 15 schools and nearly 200 pupils. This was supported by the Royal Institute of Philosophy and will run again next year.
